+ Somebody on your team is assured farm (and a LOT of it), and cannot be denied unless your jungle gets warded and/or ganked, though your team CAN react to that. + Don't waste the heaps of XP or gold that reside within the jungle that would usually, otherwise be wasted + You can help gank lanes that might otherwise be struggling + You have someone on your team who's unpredictable, the enemy doesn't know where you are unless they've warded really deep into your jungle (which you should never let them.)

In DotA, it's completely viable to have and to not have a jungler, and it's very situational whether you get one or not in a professional level game. So, what's the point of a jungler?
